About Me.

RIK ARRON.

So who am I and why should you spend your precious time on this little spinning planet hanging around my site?

Well,  just like you, I'm trying to make some sense of this world. This crazy world!

Rik Arron

I’ve been obsessed with stories for as long as I can remember.

As a kid, I was that weirdo holed up with a book while everyone else was out playing. When I wasn’t reading, I was writing—stories, poems, anything that let me bend reality into words. Later, I took that obsession into TV and radio, spending a decade crafting scripts and figuring out how to make people feel something through storytelling.

Then life threw a few curveballs. Depression. Anxiety. The kind of stuff that knocks you sideways. At the time, it felt like hell. But looking back, it cracked open a path—one that led me towards something deeper. Call it spirituality, call it meaning, call it just trying to make sense of this whole being human thing. Whatever it was, it stuck, and I’ve been walking that road ever since.

Turns out, the most extraordinary moments aren’t the flashy ones. They’re the quiet ones, the ones tucked inside the ordinary, waiting to be noticed.

Fast forward: I’ve written and published children’s illustrated poetry books, a non-fiction book, worked with creatives and businesses to shape their stories, and helped people bring their books to life—from that first “I think I might have an idea” moment to holding the finished thing in their hands.

Now, my world is all about The Buzz and Do Radio—reimagining radio, storytelling, and community for a new era. The Buzz Radio Network is where music and fandom collide, creating spaces where artists and fans can connect beyond the algorithms. It’s radio, but not as you know it.

And Do Radio? Well, that’s a talk radio station I run alongside David Hieatt and the team at The Do Lectures—storytelling, inspiration, and incredible conversations rolled into one—a project born from the same spirit that fuels Do Lectures.

At the core of everything I do is this: stories have the power to change us. They heal, they connect, they remind us we’re not alone. Whether I’m helping someone find and tell their story, building a new kind of radio experience, or just capturing the world through a lens, it all comes back to that.

If you are interested in learning how to tell your story or write your book, then you can book a 1 to 1 session with me via Zoom and we can discuss a plan of action.

Prices for a longer term plan can be discussed based on the size of the project.

Please call me to arrange a session.

Essentially I'm a writer and the best advice offered to a writer is to write about what they know. There are lots of things I know little about but only a few things I know a lot about. For over 30 years I have dedicated my life to self-help, personal growth and a spiritual life but up until now I have been focussed on the journey itself and not about writing about it. Now though I want to share my experiences and my love and passion for storytelling. I believe in the power of storytelling to help us understand ourselves and to even help us to heal. Oh and I'm a children's poet too, writing fun rhyme with meaningful values to try and teach children some of the lessons I've learnt along the way. X
